 One to One Training

One to One training sessions are carried out away from a training class environment at your home. We will travel throughout the region. Our previous one to one sessions have covered Northumberland, Weardale, Bishop Auckland, Sunderland, Newcastle, Derwentside, and of course, home of our training-Durham.

NEW TO HAVE A GOOD DOG!

Thinking of getting a new puppy or have you just brought your new four legged friend home. Then start out on the right paw! We can offer puppy orientation sessions in your home. We will cover crate training, biting and mouthing, jumping up, puppy proofing your home, basic puppy obedience, correct socialisation with people and other dogs, introduction to lead walking, teaching manners around children, manners with toys and food, playing games, and how to be your puppys best friend. You will receive a free puppy pack and puppy training handouts. Appointments will last approximately two hours. We will also discuss training methods (pros and cons), and how dogs learn.

There are real benefits from one to one training.......

If you find it difficult attending our venue or would prefer to teach your dog in the comfort of your own home, then we can arrange one to one training sessions.

One to one training is ideal if you would like to work on only one or two aspects of your dogs training, as we can use the sessions in any way you choose. We can also use your pets usual surroundings to help you teach them in the most practical and sensible way.

You may wish to add one to one training sessions onto a training course, this is particularly useful if your family and friends cannot attend classes with you but would like the skills to teach your dog too.

As one to one training is conducted in your home, we are also able to work in an environment that your dog will be comfortable and secure with. Don't forget-not all dogs are able to relax and learn in a training class environment.

Our new puppy orientation sessions are ideal for 'in-house' training issues including crate training, games with toys, stealing, not jumping up, chewing, toilet training, biting and mouthing!

The exercises that we are able to teach in one to one training sessions are the same as those covered in our training courses.

If your dog is aggressive towards other dogs or people, or exhibits any unusual behaviour  such as phobias, separation anxiety or compulsive disorders, you would need to speak to us about a behaviour consultation. These issues would not be dealt with in a one to one training session.
