Reliable and caring dog walking service in Co Durham. We are a police checked, fully insured member of NARP (National Association of Registered Petsitters).
Did you know that regular play and exercise can help to alleviate stress and boredom in your dog and this could help reduce or prevent behaviour problems? We can offer a range of tailor made dog walking options. We offer a friendly dog walking service where your pet can be walked with up to two other dogs. We will carefully match dogs personalities. Your dog can also be walked individually.
We will collect your dog in our fully equipped vehicle for safe travel. Treats and toys for games are used on walks with your permission. We provide safe on or off lead walks in the countryside away from traffic. If you would prefer your dog to be walked local to your home, we can offer one on one lead walks or an off lead play session at your local park. Our one hour walks do not include pick up/drop off and travelling time, so 1 hours exercise, means 1 hours exercise! We can offer shorter walks for senior dogs, dogs on restricted exercise regimes, or young puppies. All dogs walked by Have a Good Dog wear our identification tag in addition to their usual. Our service also includes all other essentials such as poo bags, water, and towelling muddy paws.

Petsitting
Our petsitting service comes highly recommended by our happy clients. We can care for dogs, cats, hens, and small animals such as rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, hamsters and birds. It is ideal for pets that are unhappy being away from the comfort of their own home. With this service, you can be confident that not only your pets, but also your own home is looked after while you are away. The service is bespoke depending on your exact requirements but we can accommodate most requests for occasional days, weekends, weekly, and longer.
Your dogs will receive regular exercise morning and evening, and we can also take them to their regular grooming/vets appointments. We will do our upmost to keep to your pets usual routine. We will also water your plants for you, stack your mail, tend gardens, organise refuse collection, and turn lights on or off to give your house that 'lived in' look. You can also receive regular contact from us via emails with updates if you wish.
We cannot offer boarding or petsitting or day care in our own home. If you are looking for day care, dog creche, or overnight boarding, then the premises should be licensed under the Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963.
